Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains how PreserveU Private Limited ("we", "us"), which operates AnswerShelf at answershelf.si, collects and uses personal data. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, work email, brand name, website, category and competitors, and (if you choose to add them) your phone or WhatsApp number and a message, when you fill in a form or email us.
- Billing details: company name, billing address and GSTIN when you buy a plan. Card and UPI payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We never see or store your card details.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider may log IP addresses and browser details for security and to keep the site running.
- Site usage: we use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and which buttons they click, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and never receives your name, email or payment details. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies. You can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Our own visit count: we also count page visits ourselves, without cookies. We store the page, the country, the type of device and the site or ad that sent you, plus a code that changes every day so we can count each visitor once a day. We never store your IP address. When you sign up, we note which site or ad brought you that day.
What we don't collect
We don't need access to your website, ad accounts or analytics. Our reports use public AI answers only.
How we use your data
- To prepare and send your AI score and reports.
- To reply to you and provide the service you asked for.
- To send invoices and meet legal and tax requirements.
- To send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- For research: we keep the AI answers from our scans (the questions asked, what ChatGPT and Gemini answered, the brands they named and the websites they cited) to study how AI recommends brands and to improve our reports. These answers don't include your personal details, and we only ever publish findings in aggregate.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run AnswerShelf: website hosting (Vercel), site analytics (Google Analytics), email and document storage (Google Workspace or similar), payments (Razorpay), and AI providers (OpenAI, Google), which receive our questions but not your personal details. We may also share data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you're a customer or prospect, and for as long as tax and accounting laws require after that. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@answershelf.si. We'll respond within 30 days.
Grievances
For any concern about your personal data, write to us and we'll respond within 30 days:
Email: hello@answershelf.si (subject: Grievance)
